About Me:
My family is huge! I have 7 sisters and 1 brother. They are annoying most of the time. My hobbies are playing sports and riding skateboards.My favorite color is neon blue. I live with my mom and see my dad every other weekend. My older sister lives i cambridge and I see her the weekends i don't go to my dads house. My brother and i almost never fight. My mom works at Mcdonalds and my dad doesn't have a job.I have tons of pets too. I have 6 dogs, 20 cats, a bird, and 3 rabbits. My dog at my mom's is a 4 month old black lab named dace. My brother's dog at my mom's is a year old austrillian shepard named Mo.

The Animal I Compare to Me:
The animal that I campare to me in my biome is turtles. I compare turtles to me since I am sort of slow and I love water. I think turtles are really cool. I would like to go and see one that lives in the grasslands.That is the animal I compare to me that lives in my biome.

Facts about grassland animals:
1.Snakes are well-adapted to live in grasslands since their long skinny bodies have no protruding limbs to snag as they slither through the thick plant growth.
2.Elephants have thick, gray skin on their bodies that protects them fromdeadly predator bites.
3.African wild dogs have a light body and long legs that helps them chase prey.
4.Lions live in packs so that they can provide enough food for the whole group.


Facts about grassland plants:
1.Some of the wild flowers have spikes on the stem to keep herbivores away.
2.There is grass that will cut the tongue of the animal who eats it.
3.Grasses can survive grassland fires because they grow from the bottom instead of the top.
4.Grass
root systems are extensive and deep so that they can acquire water even during drought conditions.


Grassland Climate:

1. In June, July, and August the temperature ranges from 83°F- 86°F.
2. In December, January, and February the temperatures are merely 30°F - 32° F. Grasslands receive 15-20 inches of rain per year.
3.In areas of the grassland where there are about 20 inches of rain yearly, 200 types of flowering plants flourish.
4.There is more precipitation in the summer time then there is in the winter.
